Year 6

Here in Year 6 (Y6) it is always an adventure!

Our topics take us around the world, back to the beginning of time and encourage us to think beyond our own experiences.  We walk with dinosaurs, fight like Boudica, explore space with Katherine Johnson, explore the human body in VR, march like Romans, entertain like the Ancient Greeks, battle in the trenches of WW1 and explore this wonderful planet.

Every morning, we focus our learning on developing our skills and understanding in Maths, Reading/Writing and Spelling sessions, whilst the afternoons are brimming with fascinating creative curriculum lessons based around our termly topic.  We enjoy lots of different experiences, workshops and wonderful school trips to help support us in our learning journey.  In Y6, we even get the chance to go on a three-day residential trip – something that remains a lifetime memory for many of us.

Y6 is about growing into resilient, responsible learners who will be ready to embark on the next stage of their education.  Ultimately, we are a hardworking, unique set of individuals!

    Many thanks,

    The Y6 team
