Arts Week

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are excited to let you know that our annual Arts Week will be taking place from Tuesday 30th June to Thursday 2nd July.

This year’s theme is “The Great Outdoors”, and throughout the week the children will be taking part in a range of creative and engaging activities inspired by nature, the environment, and outdoor experiences. These may include art, music, drama, movement, and sports-based sessions.

As part of Arts Week, we would love to make use of the talents within our school community. If you have a skill, hobby, or profession linked to the arts, outdoors, or physical activity, we would be delighted to hear from you. Workshops do not need to take place outside—just be inspired by the theme!

Workshops would ideally:

• Last around one hour

• Be suitable for a group of around 30 children

• Be adaptable for mixed-age groups (Reception to Year 6)

• Potentially be repeated across the day

If you are interested in leading a workshop, please email admin@markeaton.derby.sch.uk with a brief outline of your idea, along with your availability across the three days.

We hope this will be a fun and inspiring week for all the children, and we would love for members of our school community to be involved.
